This is the first volume in the spinoff series Bocchi the Rock! Gaiden: Hiroi Kikuri no Fukazake Nikki of the manga series, Bocchi the Rock!. The volume was released in the Japanese version on February 1, 2024 and a week earlier on January 25, 2024 for digital release.

Plot[]
Chapter 1[]
A night in a certain live house in Yokohama. An indie band named SICK HACK is performing wondrously in front of many audiences. Fast forward sometimes later, its bassist and vocalist, Kikuri Hiroi was found wasted by a police in front of Kanazawa-Hakkei station.
Realizing she's now lost, she remembered that she had a bad hangover post-afterparty to the point her bandmates left her alone, and had wandered alone to Kanazawa-Hakkei by the last train there. She contacted Shima for help only to be rejected. Eliza isn't answering either.
She found out she still had a lot of money to spend, so she had another drink at a bar nearby, and noticing her instrument, she talked with the bartender and the customers about her playing in a band and having a live performance in Yokohama. A group of customers saw her and noticed she is from SICK HACK, and approaches her. Kikuri listened about how they are a beginner in a band and struggled to fulfill the quota, and instantly decided to treat them for drinks. They also introduced SICK HACK to the bartender and others in the bar. As the bar customers know about her, they approached Kikuri for an autograph.
Kikuri finally faced her own consequences, having to pay around 40000 yen for herself and her fans, and only has a little money left to spare for the rest of the night. A stray cat approaches her. Feeling pity, she used the money to buy a treat for the cat, and another Onikoroshi sake bottle. She indulges herself with alcohol alone at a certain temple nearby, along with the cat, lamenting about her bad fate.
Then she fell into another series of hangover. Wandered along the streets, she found a certain girl with guitar and tracksuit and approached her before falling down again.
Chapter 2[]
Another night in Shinjuku FOLT. SICK HACK is performing again, charming all their audiences. Then Kikuri broke the equipments again and got reprimanded by not having her pay that night. Even so, Kikuri suggested for another afterparty. On their way to the place, the band was approached by some fans. Kikuri tried to lure them to treat her before being dragged away by her bandmates.
The band comes to Soizeriya family restaurant for an afterparty, or rather, according to Shima, a review meeting. Kikuri got criticized hard by Shima for her behaviour - breaking equipments, barging into afterparties, asking her fans for treats, messing with highschoolers (especially Yoyoko, and recently, Bocchi), with the last thing is what attracted all customers attention to their conversation. Eliza added that for each wrongdoing Kikuri has done, Shima has to repay back by her apology gift.
After meal. Shima continues to scold Kikuri of her alcoholic behaviour, but Kikuri brought back the moment she tried to perform without it (which is considered worst moment for the band), embarassing both of them. Kikuri takes that opportunity to order the restaurants own booze, the red magnum, much to Shima's disappointment.
Later on their way back, Shima apologised to Eliza of how the band does not fulfil her desire, but Eliza said she is fine with the band as is, citing how bad is the rock scene in England too, and asked how Shima managed to stick with Kikuri for long. Observing Kikuri who's in her drunk state, Shima added how she had to be there always to care about Kikuri, knowing how Kikuri brought her together to form a band in the past. Though, with Kikuri falling down stairs again, both just left her be.
Chapter 3[]
One day, Kikuri only have 72 yen left of her money yet is stressed of her sober self, so she went out to find free meals in Kabuki-cho.
She first goes into a snack bar, and saying that she's broke, she was treated with a glass of water. An elderly couple then found her and talked about her music activities, in which she get treated 3 glass of drinks. Starved after that, she goes into a bar where she is greeted by some males who are Ginjiro's acquaintances, and treated her some slices of pizza. Ginjiro who comes later is aware of her behaviour and complained about what she is doing.
A pair of males later goes into the bar and spotted Kikuri's guitar (which she brought along to execute her free food strategy). They asked Kikuri to show them her play, in which Kikuri splendidly performed a song. The men treated her to drinks.
Sometimes later, she met the people again, but have no idea who they are.
Chapter 4[]
Kikuri went to Shimokitazawa, specifically STARRY, to see Kessoku Band playing live.
Fast forward to the after-party, Kikuri is in a very drunk state that she does not realize the band has left, and only Seika and PA-san is there to drag her out from the izakaya. Seika had to console her walking, while PA-san observed her behavior. Seika realizes she is pretty smelly, where Kikuri told them she don't take a bath as she got no shower at home. Seika brought Kikuri to her home.
In Ijichi's home, Kikuri enjoyed a good bath with Nijika treated her like a real guest. Kikuri even uses all the bathroom items to referesh herself and wear Seika's clothes. She later drinks a can of sake. Seika is pretty annoyed. When asked about how she actually take bath with no bath in her home, Kikuri explained that she always goes to other bandmates houses, and sometimes even Yoyoko to borrow their shower. Kikuri later goes on a rant on how she always struggled in her own house. Then, she mentioned about how Seika is even more scummy from her before, and asked why Seika's band would broke up after "dragging" her to the band scene. Seika tried to explain how is things going for her, but Kikuri already fall asleep.
Seika and Nijika watched Kikuri sleeping and Seika reminded Nijika of what their band should avoid. Then, Kikuri woke up and wanted to vomit. Thus, Kikuri made Seika another stop in her shower-borrowing cycle.
