Kessoku Band LIVE -Kousei-" (結束バンドLIVE-恒星- Kessoku Bando LIVE -Kousei-) is a live concert event featuring casts and crews from Bocchi the Rock anime series. It was held on May 21, 2023 in Zepp Haneda, Tokyo.
The concert was later screened in selected cinemas from November 17 to November 30, 2023 and a Blu-Ray and DVD releases for the concert was released on November 22, 2023. A special album featuring songs performed in the concert was released in streaming services on January 18, 2024.
Promotion[]
The concert was revealed at the end of the event of Bocchi the Rock! desu., which includes appearing casts which are the entire Kessoku Band casts, and the visuals also has been revealed during the event. Early merchandise preorders were also open after the special event. [1]
Ticket sales via Rakuten and ANIPLEX+ commences on May 4, 2023. [2] Later, it was announced that the concert will also available via paid livestreaming in Stagecrowd site, where it is also open for overseas streaming in selected countried via the same site [3]
A special video by Nijika and Ryo is released on May 15, 2023 about advices and rules about the upcoming event. [4]
Event[]
The event starts at 18.00 JST, with admissions open at 17.00. Visitors are allowed to give their thank you gift via the space allocated in the venue. Staffs and casts also send their own congratulatory gifts which are on display in the venue. Some collaborating brands like Onkyo and Yamaha held a mini exhibition and sells related products there.
As the main vocalist, the show is mainly dominated by Ikumi Hasegawa presence. However other casts, who also contributed their own songs in the series like Saku, Sayumi and Aoyama also take turns in the concert. Aoyama also plays her own guitar in her performance of Korogaru Iwa, Kimi ni Asa ga Furu, in which her practice was recorded in the special episode of Road to Guitar Hero.
The event also saw the new songs, Hikari no Naka e and Aoi Haru to Nishi no Sora performed for the first time in public, in which the single would be released later at midnight. The compilation film of the series was also announced in the event to be screened on Spring 2024 (which would later be known as the films of Re: and Re:Re:).
The event concluded at around 20:30 JST, with the entire performance takes around two and a half hours.
Blu-ray and theatrical release[]
After the special episode of Road to Guitar Hero premieres on September 8, 2023, it was announced that a Blu-Ray and DVD release of the concert will be released on November 22, 2023. The home releases of the concert contains the full concert recording, the full recording of special event of Bocchi the Rock! desu., and Road to Guitar Hero special episode.
A special Bocchi the Talk LIVE program was held on October 14, 2023 to celebrate the anime series first anniversary, and during the livestream, it was also announced that the concert will also be screened in theatres from November 17 to November 30, 2023 with roadshows will also be held in selected cinemas.
Live album release[]
During the Bocchi the Talk LIVE program, it was also announced that a digital album, containing recordings of the songs performed during the concert will be released.
The album was released in various streaming platforms from January 18, 2024.
Television broadcast[]
The event was aired in Animax Japan on April 21, 2024 following the series marathon that day. [5]
Overseas distribution[]
The event was screened in Singapore by ANIPLUS, with special fanscreening takes place on May 11, 2024 and was later brought into general screening a week later. ANIPLUS later brought it to Thailand for special screenings on September 21 and 22, 2024.
Mighty Media brought the concert for screening in Taiwan in June 2024, and the concert also get their own screening in South Korea.
