"Jumping Girl(s)" (ジャンピングガール(ズ) Janpingu Gāru(zu)) is the fourth episode of the anime series, Bocchi the Rock!. It premiered on October 30, 2022.
Synopsis[]
Kita joined Kessoku Band again, and the members gathered, and the band started full-scale. Meanwhile, Ryo composes an original song, and Hitori is entrusted with writing the lyrics. Through writing lyrics, Hitori worries about the difference between being a band and being herself.[1]
Plot[]
Ryo is looking for a poster of the band collab during its rainy day. At the studio, Kita is just awful after playing the guitar and it was supposed to do vocals too. But she can't sing while focusing on the guitar. She is thinking about our performance if she just sang, she wouldn't have anything to do and say "Yeah!" She'd better work harder and bright instantly, Bocchi had closed her eyes because of her brightness. But Bocchi cannot sing with Kita together. Ryo heard that some new guitar showmanship playing, but Kita will practice the guitar. Nijika will meet up with Kessoku Band at the live house.
Kessoku Band has begun the meeting, and Kita and Bocchi applaud together. Nijika has today's topic "How can we be more band-like?", and Kita and Bocchi applaud together again. Ryo is something wrong with that. Nijika explains that topic and Bocchi will understand that topic, and thinking she to give Kita a break from all her practice. Nijika starts imitating a new popular make-up technique when Kita asks her. She made the band merch as cable tie only and they come in all colors. Ryo is selling the cable tie for only 500 yen a piece and 650 yen if they are signed, Kita jokes that it has cheap and she'll buy that one. Kita makes a good idea to set up her Isosta (Isstagram or Issta for abbreviation) account and become the Minister of Social Media. Ryo thinks the membership perks will include the band. Kita jokes again have a cheap one and will buy it. Bocchi wouldn't think of our ideas, Kita's eyes are so sparkly, and Bocchi still not thinking of our ideas again. Nijika has a more important of the band to write lyrics for our original song, Ryo would write the music, and Bocchi would write the lyrics. She asked her if got the off-limits world and should write the lyrics. Bocchi dropped her pink cable tie, Kita is excited to hear Ryo's song and asks Bocchi if it's so cool for the job. Bocchi is ashamed of that and acts as a drumstick and gonna writes the lyrics.
A week later, Bocchi is so hard to think to write a single lyric, but she writes her signature instead. But she already spent five hours yesterday editing the video, Futari and Jimihen are looking for Bocchi's notebook and Bocchi covers her notebook and spills the juice. She gets the lyrics notebook from her middle high school and shows the page as a curse. She organized to Kessoku Band about Kita singing the song might be shine. She imagines of cheery person and an extrovert. She got the wrong idea cheery person, but it's just a party animal, she must become Kita and sees her family while watching her. She will not have any youthful songs and trying to write the lyrics. After thinking too hard, Bocchi sees her message to go to Shimokitazawa.
After arriving at Shimokitazawa, Bocchi apologizes to them for not writing the lyrics. Nijika poses a hand-camera gesture to take ProPhos (promotional photos). Ryo took them to our last concert, with Kita ditched our picture. As Nijika has no plans today, Kessoku Band will take a few ProPhos outside. Nijika is aware a ProPho is important for them and needs something for the live house that will have an impact. Bocchi would resign herself to fate, and Nijika declares a ProPho-scouting journey and raised a fist in her hand.
During our journey, Nijika talks about structures, and Ryo and Kita ride a kiddie ride. Kessoku Band goes to the vending machine, Kita drinks the milk and asks Bocchi would bring our instruments. Nijika complains that only guitarists and bassists look cool and the poor drummer, she asks Ryo to switch our instruments, Ryo is running around and Nijika chasing her.
Kita is looking for the posters, and Nijika is aware a lot of record shops and the live house are closed. Ryo loves B&C, Kita can jerk her senpai any time she wants. Bocchi holds Nijika's shoulder, but Nijika quickly looks at Bocchi. Bocchi explains that she thought a nice-looking wall.
Nijika takes the picture of them, but her reaction to the picture is not band-like. Ryo is the quintessential musician and asks Nijika if needs only mimic her expression. Nijika will do take the picture again, but she reacts to the picture as a funeral. She swaps the previous picture on her phone, but Kita didn't say cute at all. Kita guesses to upload those pictures to Isosta all the time and show her phone to them. Bocchi collapsed and flopped because she is never taken pictures with friends before. She is only taken pictures with her family and class pictures. She wonders about other high school girls and becomes tsuchinoko and becomes tsuchinoko. Nijika told her to start an Isosta account, Kita has become friends and should have individual member accounts. If she is already reincarnated as a tsuchinoko, she becomes the dinosaur and attacks the building to like the post. She becomes depressed after attacking and they are calling her to get rid of social media. She finally wakes up, the ProPhos is back.
Kita explains a jump picture to them, then Ryo has a god-tier in the anime openings where they jump, according to a wise man. Nijika should try a jump picture of them, Bocchi can't remember the last time when she was jumped. Ryo reacted to the picture when seeing Bocchi's panties, so Bocchi became worthless in the picture and should be deleted when she cannot jump properly. Nijika had a second try to take a picture and it makes awesome. Kita and Bocchi should copy the picture, Nijika has any plans for Kessoku Band for our concert, our demo CD sale, and our first album release in winter, but all the plans are TBD and our good vibes in Shimokitazawa. But since Nijika doesn't have a song for Kessoku Band, Bocchi completely forgot about the lyrics. But Nijika asks Kita where is Ryo, but she is disappeared.
After being dismissed from Kessoku Band, Bocchi stays alone and making looks introverted. She messages Ryo and that she already read it. Bocchi links to the browser as a trendy café. She hesitates she had never been to a restaurant by herself. Bocchi talks to the customer in front of her when she opens the door, and Ryo is calling her to come. Bocchi has no matter to talk to her, Ryo has finished her food. Come to think of it, Bocchi drinks the water and makes origami. Ryo just tells her to show the lyrics, she becomes shocked when showing the lyrics. Bocchi has the mistake to open a page as her signature and was personally satisfied with her lyrics. Ryo was in another band in the past and then quit. Nijika despite Ryo playing bass when loves the bass. Ryo closes Bocchi's notebook and tells her not to write generic lyrics. But won't it be hilarious of her if she is a normie song, for example of Kita. Ryo will get out of the café, but Bocchi asks her to pay the check. Ryo threats Bocchi herself to pay herself and take another day of eating weeds. Ryo apologizes to Bocchi for not paying her back next month. Bocchi is going to do our best.
The next day at the live house, Bocchi finished the lyrics when told them. She has focused on the lyrics and forgot to sleep. Nijika is looking for the lyrics, Ryo might certainly be a downer. She and Bocchi have a friendship together, and Nijika is satisfied the lyrics are great.
At her home, Bocchi prints into wallpaper and sticks it to the wall. When sleeping, she hopes the band can stay together forever and laugh at herself.
