Bocchi the Rock! TV Anime Linked Project: Road to Guitar Hero (TVアニメ『ぼっち・ざ・ろっく!』連動企画「ギターヒーローへの道」 Terebi anime "Bocchi za Rokku!" reidō kikkaku "Gīta Hīrō e no michi") is a reality program series which is part of the promotional material of the anime Bocchi the Rock!, featuring Yoshino Aoyama as the main focus. This series run originally between October 6, 2022 to March 11, 2023 with 13 episodes.

Overview and release schedule[]

The series focuses on Yoshino Aoyama, voice actress of Hitori Gotoh being tasked to learn to play guitar, with her final goal is to be able to play the chords for Seishun Complex, the series opening theme. This 13-episode series records all the way from her first day of knowing guitar, getting a guitar for herself and mastering the chords. The finale shows that Yoshino has managed to play the songs she is tasked to live in Shimokitazawa SHELTER, where STARRY live house is based from.

Road to Guitar Hero: Extra Edition[]

An extra episode titled Road to Guitar Hero: Extra Edition is revealed on May 28, 2023 right after Kessoku Band -Kousei- LIVE event when the digest version of the episode went live in ANIPLEX YouTube channel. The episode revolves around Yoshino past the SHELTER performance event where she is again tasked to play Korogaru Iwa, Kimi ni Asa ga Furu on guitar for the live concert that was coming soon so she need to train herself to play the song.

The full episode went live on September 8, 2023.
